We know it has been a while since we published a blog post but it’s not without a good reason. In the last several months we have been working diligently to launch a new Surna website and brand strategy to meet the changing cultivation industry.

Every week we to put together a blog that we believe brings much needed information to our readers. We really enjoy being able to share all the wisdom we gather in our various daily activities here at Surna to a reader base who will appreciate and use it. However, today we want to do something a little different. This is your warning: we’re plugging Surna today because it’s, well, awesome. And we want to share with you guys why we think Surna is so awesome.
Admittedly, I am a bit of a politics nerd. One of my favorite parts about working at Surna and in the cannabis industry is how uniquely tied we are to policy creation and how closely we must follow upcoming legislation. So attending NCIA’s 6th Annual Lobby days and being given the chance to visit Washington DC for the first time was a nerd’s dream come true.
At Surna, we talk a lot about creating a more efficient cultivation operation. While we are often focused on educating business owners and growers about how to reduce their energy usage or layout a facility to create better flow, there are many things that can be done within a business to make it more efficient and sustainable.
We’ve been working with a group of engineering students from University of Colorado Boulder on their senior design project. For this year-long project, the group of nine students has been working with our in-house engineering team to create an interactive demonstration of the upcoming Surna Hybrid building.
