Last week, the Surna team traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition. This was our first year exhibiting at this show and we met a lot of great people and attended some interesting talks regarding hot topics in the industry.

Designing an indoor garden can be complicated. Cannabis is a new industry and though growers can pull best practices from similar industries, the fact remains that setting up a commercial cultivation facility is complicated and hard to navigate for new entrants. From navigating regulatory requirements to finding an appropriately zoned facility to choosing the right equipment, nothing about this process is simple. As soon as one task is completed, another task needs attention.

We had a great time in Oakland last week for NCIA’s 3rd Annual Cannabis Business Summit & Expo. This year, the show moved to Oakland, allowing the industry to get a feel of what it will be like when California legalizes adult use.

With the difficulty of finding financing in the cannabis industry, it may be tempting to build a cultivation facility as cheaply as possible.
